Presentation
The International Weed Seedling Identification course intends to provide tools for a successful weed identification in their early growth stages. In order to accomplish this objective, theory, laboratory and field sessions will be organized. Morphological characteristics will be explained in the theory sessions, focussing in the most relevant organs that are visible in seedlings (cotyledons, first true leaves, stem characteristics), while the comparison between different seedlings will be performed in the laboratory sessions. Finally, the acquired knowledge will be put in practice in the field.Overall, there will be four hours of theory sessions, four of laboratory sessions and 13 of field sessions.
For those participants, a booklet will be provided, with the information imparted in the theory sessions, as well as will a list of the species identified in the field, with a description of each of them.

Admission and registration
Despite being two different registration fees (one for students and the other for senior scientists), there will not be any priority for one or another, and the admission will be strictly by applying order to a maximum of 25 attendees.All attendees must be members of the European Weed Research Society (EWRS) and, if they still are not, must previously apply for it. TUITION FEES
The registration fee will be of 135.00€ for students and of 165.00€ for postdocs and senior scientists
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Attendees must be, at least, PhD or MSc students of agronomy or biology (botany) PhD programs and Masters.
